CPE (Cost Per Engagement)
Total cost ÷ (likes + comments + saves + shares + clicks you actually count). The metric that matches why you hired a micro.
Define the engagement set in the brief. If you only count likes, a bought like-pod wins. If you count saves, shares, and sticker clicks, you get closer to intent. Example: $500 fee, 1,800 meaningful engagements → CPE ≈ $0.28. Published micro CPE bands vary widely; use them as a conversation, not a contract clause.
Awareness campaigns can live on CPM. Conversion and “we hired them because comments convert” campaigns should show CPE and code revenue. If both look bad, the brief or the fit was wrong — not “influencer” as a channel.
